The Torsey Pond Association (TPA) was formed in 1988 with the express purpose to preserve Torsey Pond, its shores and dam for all property owners around the lake, and for the towns of Readfield and Mt. Vernon. Members support the work of the association with annual dues, donations and by volunteering on various committees. The TPA is governed by a board of directors and members can vote on initiatives at an annual meeting that is held in July.
